Worst of the Worse

Have you ever developed such an intense dislike for something that the simple act of hating it gives you a kind of sweet, pleasant satisfaction? Just to know that a thing is so richly deserving of your disdain comforts you, when feeling so smugly self-righteous...!

This is how I feel about the Bush Administration and its many tentacles, fists, dirty hands, and noxious personages. There is a warmth in me whenever I feel this feeling. Thank God for our democracy that not only lets us freely feel contempt, but to actually say so.
