Saturday, June 23, the US Women's National Soccer Team defeated Brazil 2 - 0. This is one of the great soccer teams of all times, a continuation of the American team that has dominated world soccer for many years. In the first minute of play, Kristine Lilly sank one of the most perfect goal shots I have ever seen. If it becomes available on video, I'll post it on BIRCHES.
The team is moving toward the World's Cup. They have an excellent chance of winning it once again. If you have never seen this team play, it's worth a look the next time they're on TV. It is athletic artistry.
