Senator Billy wants to raise taxes in some fashion --- possibly with larger hunting fees -- in order to provide money for schools to train children in how to use firearms. And who will he entrust with this weighty responsibility? Gym teachers!
Hey, friend. Why not teach 'em also how to skin a blue-tail skink? Or train a coon dog?

Basic firearm safety training could prevent a lot of accidents. And it would give young people a proper foundation for considering divisive political disputes about guns.

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard (or expressed) that sentiment! The precedent of schools teaching basic life skills (as opposed to the "three R's") was set a long time ago.
