Wacko of the Week -- 04/12/08

Senator Jay Rockefeller

of West Virginia--

who did not serve
in the military forces
of this country.

It's not a big deal that a guy didn't go to Vietnam. It was not a good place to be, and the cause was a terrible one. But those who did go to the 'Nam should be respected, especially by our elected officials.

This is what Rockefeller said about John McCain.

"McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they (the missiles) get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues."

Who knows how callous is the heart of John McCain? Under the Birches we assume that Rockefeller's statement was a lot of hot air since he could not know, either. McCain, after all, isn't Dick Cheney. So it's our opinion that what the Senator said about McCain does nothing at all for his friend, Obama, whom Rockefeller meant to be helping, and is just plain nuts!

He admitted as much by apologizing for his own callous heart.

Therefore, Jay Rockefeller, accept our Award for this week, you've gone Wacko.

RUNNERS UP:
1. The Polygamous sect in Texas who dressed up their little girls in little white dresses to signify their purify, before they "married" them and raped them.

2. Raphael Jones of Houston, prison parolee, who went on a crime spree, eventually shedding all his clothing in a vain effort to hide his identity. After all, the cops knew what he was wearing. His gimmick failed, because he was arrested naked. click
