Police Arrest Man for Stealing Underwear

A 28-year-old man who police found carrying a door with a hole in it was arrested Sunday morning for breaking into a Gilbert home and stealing a woman’s black underwear, police said.
Aaron Rodriguez Torres, who was a previous renter at the residence, was arrested at 7:09 a.m. for burglary. Police did not immediately provide the location of the break - in.
The homeowner told police that she left during the early morning hours to go to a party. When she returned about 6 a.m. all her lights were off, her home smelled like burning cigarettes, the blinds to her bedroom were shut and she found a burning candle.
She also heard loud noises coming from her backyard and noticed clothes and shoes by her patio door. Police say she ran out the front door and called 911.
When officers arrived, Torres walked into the home carrying a door with a hole in it and he was subsequently arrested.
