crazy for Michigan

How proud we are here in Michigan to be the mother state of so many distinguished screwballs. Everyone knew that Tim MacVeigh and his crew were headquartered here, but that was not even the beginning. The Michigan "Militia" were famous before that for their crazy leaders, their comedic rushing about in the woods playing assassins and guerrillas, and their psychotic pronouncements on the events of our times.

Now comes the arrest of eight or nine "hutaree" "militia" from the southern part of Michigan, who were, it is alleged, laying plans for the murder of democracy. If they hadn't had more dangerous weapons than the whole country of Belgium, they might have been ignored and laughed off. To become a hutaree, one needs to have abandoned all sense of proportion and civility, and to have fallen in love with guns and bullshit. If you get an erection when someone mentions the word "grenade," then you might be a red-necked hutaree.

Let me tell y'all out there in the non-Michigan world, most of us here are actually perfectly sane and have no plans for plundering, pillaging or chaos. Most of us look to make our society more unified, not more schizoid.

I love that they asked for “Public Defenders” (and they thought they could bring down our government), undercover FBI agent, sweet. The simpleton Tea baggers keep missing the point. These are the same whiners that were crying when the McCain/Bailin ticket lost. Now they are crying again because their yelling and screaming (because they are haters not debaters or as others have dubbed them screamers not dreamers) did not stop the health care debate or the bill from passing. They think they can scare, intimidate and force others to go along with them by comments like “This time we came unarmed”, let me tell you something they are not the only ones that are armed and not all ex-military join the fringe militia crazies who don’t pay taxes and run around with face paint in the parks playing commando, the majority are mature and understand that the world is more complicated and grey than the black and white that these simpleton make it out to be and that my friend is the point. Do not cry when regular people openly laugh at your group when they see on TV that your leaders are Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and your own turn coat Glenn Beck from the LDS. They do more to discredit you group on TV (powerful) than any of comments on the blog sphere. Yee Haw!

I agree with you. All those people you named are wacko! I notice that you did not deem it necessary to name the "religious bent" of all the nuts. I can sit in a garage all week and call myself a car...that doesn't make me a car. I know that Glen Beck is an embarassment to the LDS people and he has been publicly disavowed by by them and by many other Christian denominations.
