I understand Arizona's unhappiness with the lack of a national policy on illegal immigration and the crime that it has brought to their neighborhoods. It is not just a question of Mexicans or Central Americans looking for work.
However, this is a state that is very Republican. When that party had control of the national government, nothing was done for their problem. I think that the border states who are contending with the problems of illegal influx, crime, drugs, human smuggling, pressure on social services, etc., are entitled to a national policy that isn't constantly in flux. Let's get this all settled.
