We're glad to see you gone

Little noted in the election furor yesterday was the welcome departure of Mike Huckabee, once described as "that guy who doesn't believe in evolution, the law of gravity, or photosynthesis."

He dropped out of the hunt for the Presidency, as he said, to "push the reset button." God has delivered the poor guy a real sucker punch. It's time now, for Mike to go back to preaching a peculiar brand of "Christianity" and,  perhaps, *geocentrism and the **divine right of kings.

Under the Birches, everyone is happy. Even the hibernating caterpillars have resumed metaphorphizing, the zebras have stopped training in how to become unicorns, and the fishes have returned to public schooling.
(gee, I hope someone out there is appreciating my good humor.)

-----
*pre scientific notion that the earth is the center of the universe.
**medieval Christian concept that God picks kings to rule.
