ASK BUD [This is a new feature under the BIRCHES]

So far today I have been asked many times whose fault it was that Bear-Stearns went into the toilet so that the government had to bail it out with 30 Billion in guarantees.

Here is the answer: WELFARE QUEENS.

If all those fat broads would get off their asses and go to work and buy a house on credit like other normal Americans, there would not be this credit trouble which is bringing down the  hard-working, patriotic multi-billion dollar corporations . Instead of paying rent, these leeches could be paying mortgages to Bear Stearns and other large debt holders.

Instead, they sit around chewing on their bon-bons and getting pregnant and living off the rest of us. This is why the government has to spend 30 BILLION dollars on Bear Stearns.

Man - they are as bad as the dole bludgers here - stuffing up everything. People joke about how Americans love their cup holders in their cars, but these ladies have taken the concept to a new level of convenience!

It'll be interesting to see how many get really indignent about the "ladies" and not about the dole most of our huge, filthy rich corporations are receiving. When ever I broach the subject in any group the reaction is anywhere from no reaction to mild agreement that subsidies for corporations might be out of control. Interesting reading on this subject: Free Lunch: How the wealthiest Americans Enrich Themselves at Government Expence(and Stick You with the Bill) by David Cay Johnson who is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter. A quote:
"Many people born into modest circumstances have risen to great heights because they could educate themselves for free, and stay out of trouble at the public library.
...But today library hours, as well as budgets to by books, have been slashed in Los Angeles, Detroit, Baltimore and other cities, yet ther is plenty of money to give away to sports team owners."..."Three decades of published research all points to one conclusion: subsidies for commercial sports teams never produce anet gain for society. They are just a government sponsored transfer of wealth from the many to the few." He takes on the medical profession, large retail corporations, alarm companies, oil companies, both political parties and lobbists. It's an interesting and infuriating read. Alice
