This isn't really too surprising since our governmental leaders at every level are busily engaged in giving our tax dollars to the corporate rich as subsidies. I recently saw a documentary about how various governmental entities are slowly privatizing our road ways, bridges and parks and rcreation areas. Our schools are quickly being privatized as charter schools which have NOT smaller classes BUT larger classes especially in lower elelmentary. I sing my refrain again: read FREE LUNCH: how the wealthiest Americans enrich themselves at government expense(and stick you with the bill)by David Cay Johnston. This gives lots of details about how all this is happening. Alice
Here in my town, the infrastructure is literally decaying and crumbling. Harsh northern winters and salt treatments and age are tearing up the roads and bridges. Potholes reign supreme this spring around here. There is no money to fix this because our industry has moved to foreign lands and left us broke. Even some small contribution from that hundreds of billions going into destroying Iraq would be helpful. Bud
...and our VP has given asureance that this administration will deal with Iran before they leave office. He said it's not a matter of "if" but a matter of when. Alice

Meanwhile $506,723,252,908 has been wasted in Iraq, no wait $506,723,652,855, no wait $506,723,714,360....
Thank you both for your comments.
