The Senate finally passed a bill which was sent to the House sans a public or single payer option. The only way that they can side step the Republican filibuster is forthe House to pass the Senate version as it is, get it signed by the President and then come back immediately(if that's an operative word senatorially speaking) and pass budget related items, which would include the public and /or single payer option, by simple majority. The letter that's been signed by 41senators pledges that they will support the amendments. Any non-budgetary bills can only pass with 60 votes if ANY senator objects to a regular vote. That's why 291 bills that have been passed by the House since the beginning of the year still sit un-enacted in the Senate at this date; AND why more than 100 judicial appointees across the country have not been able to fill the vacant seats. This puts an awful crunch on the judical districts around the country. If this dumb old lady left out somrthing please elaborate for all of us.

Closest thing I can find to post this thought on.
Why are our Democrats trying to pass an imperfect Health Care Reform bill now and the fix it later ???
Why not do it right, the first time, while WE have the majority ???
Lets do the public option that everyone wants, NOW ??
No wonder our spineless donkeys
can't sustain leadership once we get it !!
