(Thanks to Bill J. for this):
PSALM 2010
Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.
I am glad I am American,
I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog .....
And Obama was a tree.

No, me neither. I think the Dems should just ram eeverything they want through the House and Senate. It's time the Republican woke up and realised they have lost - lost Congress, lost the White House. That does not mean that only conservative pieces of legislation get to be passed.
I passed it around at the coffee cub and most people thought it was "ignorant."
I'm more worried about the fact that the Republicans keep touting to the American people, "We should just throw out this bill, start over, and rewrite this whole thing in a bipartisan way... the way Congress has always done it?"
So now there are a bunch of uniformed -or- stupid Americans thinking that Republicans cooperate and are being run over by the Dems.
When are the Democrats going to stand up and call them out on their lies? I cannot get over just how hypocritical they are. I want them called out, I want them shamed, and I want them disgraced.
I agree with the water cooler crowd! Obviously Bill J. is ignorant of the last 8 years and more. I think when increasing taxes is discussed it should always be in the context of the trillion plus cuts that Bush made for the top 1% of income earners. And when we hear that taxes need to be raised what the few Dems I've heard talk about it at all mean is to eliminate that cut. Middle class wage earners DID get a tax CUT this year, however it was in the withdrawal part of their pay checks so not obvious. If you want to blame bread lines on someone, it's certainly not Obama. Try Jim Bunning and his crew! Where were the screamers when unfunded mandate No Child Left Behind was passed or when trillions of dollars were allocated for THAT war or when billions were and are still being paid to military contractor company CEO billionaires - ie: Eric Prince. Where were the screamers when our illustrious leaders eliminated protectionism for our manufacturing jobs(the only country to do so). Therre fro it's cheaper for our companies to go over seas, manufacture goods and ship them back because we eliminated tariffs on imported goods. It's not Obamas doing that our manufacturing went across the seas! He's trying to fix it. At least half of your wish is already true.
