I have recently heard from a school mate from our high school years. You have written some comments on my blog. I am so glad you thought to do this.
I remember you as being a happy and friendly high school kid, and I hope you are even more happy now.

Everett - 50 years ago, happy maybe..I arrived in Washington at the height of the civil rights movement and anti-war demonstrations. My thinking changed and I became a political activist. I appreciate life and my family and dear friends. However, I am sad and outraged at the human conditions of people.....not only in developing countries...but here in our own back yard. America has the power and resources to bridge the gap between rich and poor and to put a human face on its economic, political and social agenda throughout the world. Remember the Mock Convention in Saginaw? I think I was your campaign manager.....you were a candidate for President..
I am the Dashmann and Bud and I are still the bestest of friends. We sure had a lot of fun in high school and it's nice to know you still exist. It would be great to run into you sometime, but I guess this will have to do. I am an old grampa now with a wife of 42 years living in Flushing, near Flint. Drop me a note at dashmann@comcast.net if you feel like it.
Dashman, hi there. How nice to hear from you. My email is nadbenab@aol.com. I plan to be in Saginaw next September for our reunion...hopefully to spend sometime with Alice and Bud..... Yes, Bub, we were serious.....it was a wonderful convention Nadia

Your old friend, John Dashner
