My favourite bank rip-off is: the fee you are charged when you deposit a cheque from someone who owes you money into your account, and the cheque bounces. They will charge the person who wrote the dodgy cheque a fee, but then they fine the poor person who was somehow supposed to know that there was no money in the cheque-writers account. The fee is $30-$40. Wait, wait, maybe my favourite bank rip-off is: the amount of time it takes to clear money that is sent internationally by BANK cheque or even TT. The delay for a bank cheque is 30 working days (6 weeks) and for TT is up to 4 days. Give me a break.
