.. off your backs ..

In the past couple of decades, U.S. politicians have worked hard to "get the government off the backs of American business." That has been a deliberate and well-considered priority for many people.

The results are plain for everyone to see. Airlines have returned to a State of Nature, food is poisoning our people almost daily, the borders leak like sieves, businesses are rushing to transfer their operations to foreign countries where they can manufacture anything they want in any condition they please, with any labor force they wish, and ship the junk back here.

Another cost is the harming of American children by toys made elsewhere and sent into the country past inspection stations that are no longer "manned." There is simply not enough money dedicated to the cause of protecting Americans anymore.

When did people get the idea that providers of goods and services will regulate themselves and 'do the right thing?' Car manufacturers never have. Food processors never have. Gun makers never have. Now it seems, toy makers don't either.
