It has been a very bad year for black bears in many western states. Late frosts in the spring damaged many of their berry supplies and hot weather with drought has mader matters worse. In Colorado alone, 45 bears have been destroyed so far this fall because they invaded human spaces and were cnsidered a threat.

Do you think they are considering too many of these bears a threat - because of the child that was killed by a black bear earlier this year?
