oops -- misapplication of rights

Exercising his right to keep and bear arms in defense of "the security of a free state," a Wisconsin police officer shot and killed a group of pizza-eating teenagers. He may have believed them to be Osama Bin Laden. Perhaps we have already found this week's Wacko.

Gee, if only they'd enforce the law against giving guns to crazy people ...

It just goes to show, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people".

People read these stories in other countries on this planet, and simply wonder why there aren't stricter gun controls in the US. In this case, perhaps stricter laws wouldn't have prevented the murders.... If people need guns to defend the security of a free state like the founding fathers, by all means, let everybody keep their muskets and bayonets.

I thought we settled some time ago that exercising a right and committing a crime were two different things...
