U.S. Men's Soccer
After an embarrassing, almost disgraceful loss last Tuesday to Costa Rica, a game in which the American defense was awful and the ball handling was amateurish, the U.S. Men's Team won today against Honduras, 2-1. This team is NOT ready for serious international competition, as yet, and the World Cup is next year.

Auatralia qualified for the World cup today with a nil all draw against Qatar... hardly inspiring stuff, but we will be there. They changed the qualifiers for Australia, previously they had to defeat the 4th best South American team to get in. No mean feat, but I used to argue that if you can't beat the 4th best South American team, then you had no business being in the World Cup. I wasn't very popular.
