He sued (for 30 million dollars) a newspaper in London which he claimed "ridiculed him in its article and poked fun at the annual charity ball organised by" him.
Poked fun at him? Uh-h Is he serious? (tee-hee)
He lost. Elton, dear fey spirit, enjoy your Award as this Week's Yellow Brick Wacko.

RUNNER-UP:
SHIRLEY GOOD, of Port St Lucie, FLA - It must be terribly embarrassing, if you've named your daughter
JOSHUA WEIGAND, of Boise Idaho. He called the cops because someone was trailing him dangerously in a car. The cops came and arrested Joshua because he was a break-and-enter burglar who was being tracked by the neighbor of the 90-year old woman he tried to burglarize. The principle of law here is this: If you're going to victimize old ladies, don't call attention to yourself! Remember this rule, children. It will help you out in your future endeavors. CLICK

from Alice: Maybe this is just stupidity and not whacko, but it sounds like whacko to me. A guy called the police because someone was tailing him too closely. When the police arrived it turned out that the man who called the police had just broken into a 90 year old woman's home and robbed it and the follower was tring to keep up while he reported the deed.
It is posted as runner up! Good idea!
You still gonna try and convince me my brain is working right? A----
The guy actually turned himself in. Don't always believe the news reports. Use your own brains. The guy was stealing pain killers from houses. He has a huge problem. And by the way he was a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT. He also has kids and a wife. Again, he is an addict to pain killers. He did not rob the house. He ran, then called saying yes, someone was following him, but is was because of what he did. USE YOUR BRAINS PEOPLE! What if it was your spouse or brother or dad who had the problem.
