some notes

Many thanks to those who have contributed to the conversation on "Vicissitudes" which was printed below on Tuesday. I'll add to this conversation tomorrow.

Noted: that over this holiday, many guns were used around the country to protect houses against relatives and other noxious beings who now lie dead. Santa went bananas and gunned people down. More on that, also, later.

Noted: That Israel is once more at war. Whatever happened to Isaiah 40:1-2:
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished..." (?)

My guess is that people don't understand the verse because they can't handle all those "ye"s and "thou"s. Why didn't God speak normal English??
