Congress and Santa

It is so nice to see the Congress acting on so many delayed matters. The logjam has been, to some extent, cleared away. It used to be called "log-rolling" and may still be called that in the back rooms of the Capitol. However, this time around, all it took was an agreement to the TRILLION DOLLAR BRIBE (or thereabouts, these things being so speculative, as they play out over the years.) called the "tax extension" which handed the next generation another colossal debt.

Merry Christmas to all-y'all taxpayers, and "Sleep In Heavenly Peace."

Oh ya, tax breaks for the rich, but Oh no, to help out 9-11 fire fighters and other first responders. We wouldn't want to burden the deficit.

I just read that "Extreme poverty" is the fastest growing income group in the US!

Yes, and Dave Camp, rep., from Mid-Michigan and in coming chairman of one of the money committees(I think its ways and means but I'm not sure) wants to make sure that those who are currently exempt from taxation because of low income now have to pay taxes.(have to find a way some how to finance the $850 billion extention of the Bush tax cuts for the obscenely rich.)
