running for all he's worth
I was really pleased to hear Trump talking about his "worth".
He measures it all in dollars. He is worth billions, he says. But as for his value as a person, not worth a plugged nickel, so far as I know.
Sounds like a perfect Presidential candidate.

I wonder what the founding fathers would think of Donald, Michelle and Sarah as potential candidates for President. They probably would have made some sort of intelligence test/mental challenge a prerequisite for office. You must be 35, you must be born a citizen, you must not be a populist fool.
They probably wouldn't be surprised. The founding fathers worried about the popular will being misled by the "artful misrepresentation" of populist candidates - the Senate and the Electoral College were meant to check those "passions."
Ah - I'd forgotten about the electoral college - maybe its future role won't be just a rubber stamp. Could be interesting times ahead!
So far, the Senate seems to be working as a check. But I suspect Bob meant this comment to be ironic.
I wonder if Trump could get accepted in the Electoral College without his family's money ???
Thank you, old friend. I get the joke. :) And, it's a good one.
