Pat has had a horse in every one of the Triple Crown races for many years. She has never won. I blame this on the fact that she doesn't know anything about horses, so there's a racing god who punishes her for her presumption.
Well yesterday was her big chance. She had SUPER SAVER the Kentucky Derby winner. What a surprise! That horse didn't win. It placed 8th just ahead of the one with the dead jockey and the one with only 3 legs.
The lesser gods are not fooled.
