Cheney: How to deal with a terrorist
This professor who shot six colleagues in Alabama: She has a history it turns out. She killed her brother a long time ago and mailed bombs to someone. She's a terrorist! She should be sent to Guantanamo, be water-boarded, be tried in a military court, and be imprisoned in Yemen.

Irene: I had to deposit a check from a relative into a bank account. The transaction was delayed for a week so the Dept. of Homeland Security could clear it ... You're in Australia, but in America, we are all suspects!
Maria's on the "Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200" list at all of our borders. Apparently, there's another Maria C. Gonzalez out there making poor choices with her life and causing trouble for everyone with the same name. Good thing it's not a very popular name. :)

No - I'd say the banks have decided to hold onto your money and a lot of other people's money a few extra days, and invest it in the short term money market to make a few exra bucks. They conveniently claim they can't clear it straight away because of national security requirements. It happens here everytime you try to clear an overseas cheque.
