What a great thrill it is to watch the Yankees play baseball, each man stalking imperiously to the plate, each face unmarred by even the slightest sign of humility. No one bearing the burden of being an ordinary wage earner.
And what a greater thrill it is to watch them go down in flames, smirking, as they did tonight, 8-5.

How do hate the Yankees, let me count the ways.... How depressing was the rest of the series though. I work with a girl here in Brisbane who loves the Yankees and watches most of their games via the internet. She grew up here - I don't know what's wrong with her. I was a bit excited when she said she followed major league baseball, but when she said she was a Yankees fan - I just scoffed. She just doesn't understand... her boyfriend follows the baseball too, he's a Cubs fan, I can respect that. But the Yankees???
