Opinion poll

Considering the huge sums of money our schools and colleges spend in producing athletes, do you think we got our money's worth in London?

I'd have to know how many of the team members received training through their high school or college. The men's basketball team is comprised of many players who attended college, though the two biggest stars, didn't. Did all those female gymnasts receive their training through their schools?Do schools have decathlon teams?

Here's an interesting statistic. In the past week, 114 people from the United States have looked in on my blog and only one has stated an opinion. Howe about that?

Sometimes I feel overly challenged to voice an opinion. I did not watch much Olympics due to the $$$$ involved --- the US basketball team is a turnoff ---- we will never again experience anything like the Miracle on Ice in 1980 because of the money involved. Good for Gabby, Claressa, Phelps and whoever Phelps buddy was --- I can't recall his name --- and I hate the new anti robot thing after you state your opinion ----

Sorry about the robot thing, but I didn't put it there.

The truly interesting thing about the Olympics is the number of obscure events that occur. There are contests that we possibly never heard about or at least never realized that they would rise to the level of an international contest. In today's world it is apparent that all things rely on money. I personally felt that many of the events I watched were very entertaining and felt that they were worth the time to watch and therefore the money that was spent to get the participants there. Well...forget the basketball. Is it unpatriotic to root for the opponents?
As far as value is concerned, there will be over $1,000,000,000.00 spent on the upcoming presidential campaign. Will we get our money's worth with that?

The interests spending that money will get their money's worth.

I've had two solicitations for contributions for Romney people. I forget who they were. I thought, does that asshole need help from people like me?

But then, I can see that getting lots of contributions from modestly situated persons such as I am could add up to a lot of money. That is the same attitude he has when it comes to paying for government: Get the little guys to pay.

Yes, for the very well-off, it's pay a bit now, save/gain a fortune later! Hey - I see Ryan was at The Villages parading his mum around and getting contributions, while Mitt was at Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket hitting their resdients up for a bit of cash.
