  1. Did I ever tell you about the time I stood between Donovan and Stephen King as they were preparing to go onstage? Was interesting, it was.

  2. John (Mellencamp) was touring. He had it set up so that Donovan would come out and do a mini-set in the middle of John's set. And, he'd come on stage during "Pink Houses" and sing a verse. Stephen King was touring with John (meaning: he was hanging out with John because they are/were writing a musical together) and would come on stage during "Pink Houses" and play guitar. So, I was standing side/back stage and the next thing I knew, the two of them were in their pre-Pink Houses joining of John rituals. Stephen's was pretty much just pacing around semi-nervously. Donovan's was more of a dancing like a...fairy(?)...kind of thing.
